Diya making competition (An Eco Club Activity)

To spread the idea of ECO FRIENDLY Diwali , the members of Eco club from classes 11 & 12 organized a DIYA MAKING COMPETITION on 3rd November 2010. Children painted the Diyas first & then decorated them with mirrors, sequences & various beautiful materials.

Jewellery Making using Newspapers

A craft workshop was organized in the school premises on 3rd Nov 2010 with the aim of developing creative insights of the students. Students were instructed to make beautiful jewellery using newspapers and beads. Students participated with full enthusiasm. Even boys were actively engaged in that activity breaking all the stereotypes. The sense of achievement and ownership was visible amongst students. Once instructed students used their own creativity to develop jewellery of different kinds. Such activities help in development of aesthetic skills of students.

Pre - Diwali Assembly

As the whole country is busy celebrating the festivities of India, New State Academy also made a small gesture to do its bit by organizing a special assembly on Diwali on 2nd Nov 2010. The aim not only to enjoy and share the happiness with children and colleagues but also to sensitize children about caring for environment. The assembly saw a Role Play which had Mr. Diwali telling appropriate ways of celebrating Diwali. A beautiful dance performance by children reinforced this idea. Primary Incharge Ms.Inderpreet Dave also addressed the children and gave them some words of wisdom. The real complement for the children was the appreciation and applaud that came from Dr.Subhash Arora. He appreciated children for their hardwork and efforts.

Inter School Hindi Declamation Competition

In Swami Ram Tirath Mission Hindi Declamation held on 31st October 2010, students got 1st Prize.

Inter School Art Competition

In Inter School Art Competition held at MM Public School on 29th October 2010, Aishwarya Got Ist Position, Savi got IIIrd Position while Jyotsana got consolation prize.

Vital Club organized 'Declamation'

Vital club its first club activity, 'Declamation' on the topic "Is the sculpted figure or ' zero - size ' the real figure of health ?"
Members of vital club participated with great enthusiasm.
There were 2 participants from each team. The event was judged by Ms. Lata Sakle.

Aastha from Mendel team & Deepali from Fleming team were adjudged 1st while Bhavya Pandey of Marshall was given 2nd Position.

5 points are given to Mendel and Fleming team where as Marshall Team scored 3 points.

Positions at MTNL Perfect Health Mela

In Skit held at MTNL Perfect Health Mela on 28th October 2010, the school got 1st Position. The quiz students bagged Ist prize while Bhangra Group came IIIrd.
