Winners at National Science Fair 2010

Gaurav and Kartikay secured 2nd Prize and a cash of Rs. 3000 for their Model at National Level Science Fair held at Pragati Madain on 18th and 20th January 2010. They were also awarded a scholarship of Rs.125 per month for 2 years .

First Position in Science Fair 2010

Gaurav Jain and Kumar Kartikay were awarded with 1st prize and a cash of Rs. 1000 for their model ‘Spherical Type Solar Water Heater ‘ at Northern India Science Fair held at Pragati Maidan on 15th and 16 January 2010. They have qualified for National Level Competition.

Eco Club Meet 2010

Students of class VIII went for an excursion to National Bal Bhawan at Kotla, ITO on 14 January 2010 for the ‘Eco-Club Meet 2010’, organized by the Department of Environment and Forest.

The session started with a talk supported by a PowerPoint presentation on ‘Climate Change’. It stressed on the conservation of water and effects of global warming.

There was also an exhibition on recycled products and this display was organized by students.

Ms. Sheetal Chopra and Ms. Sanjana Anand accompanied the students.

Workshop on 'Fire Safety'

Disasters are highly unpredictable and can cause large scale destruction of human lives and property. One such disaster is when fire ignites accidentally. It has also been found that worldwide, more people die in fires than in earthquakes, cyclones, etc. Keeping this in mind, the workshop was conducted by the ‘Health and Wellness Club’ for students of Class VIII to make them aware about safety measures to be taken.The workshop was successfully conducted by Ms. Ritu Sharma.

Pledge to Conserve & Protect

On account of ‘World Heritage Day’ today, i.e. 12 January 2010, students of classes III to XII took an oath to conserve and protect the rich cultural heritage (Esp. the monuments) of our country.

The students believe that they will certainly make a small but significant contribution in reviving the past glory of our ancient monuments through various activities like talks, quizzes, enactments, posters & slogans etc.

Rally To Green Delhi, Clean Delhi

New State Academy Eco Club was a part of an Awareness Rally organized by the Ministry of Environment on 11th January 2010 under i-DREAM for creating awareness about saving MOTHER EARTH from global warming. Children prepared posters and banners for generating awareness among people.


They also distributed pamphlets which emphasized on GROWING MORE Trees. The message would be taken to all the directions of Delhi by class 9 students.
